The challenge of climate change is pressing, and Kedge Construction has been at the forefront of carbon reduction and sustainable development. Kedge has been awarded the highest level of certification, “Outstanding Performance (1.6°C Increase or Below),” from CommonWealth Magazine’s “Corporate Carbon Reduction Thermometer.” Additionally, the company has received SBTi certification, committing to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030, and Scope 3 emissions by 25%. This positions Kedge among the companies aligned with the United Nations’ Paris Agreement goal of limiting global warming to no more than 1.5°C.
Kedge Construction not only promotes green construction and low-carbon design on-site but also actively conducts greenhouse gas inventories, utilizes recycled materials, and collaborates with the Taiwan Construction Research Institute on industry-academia research projects. They are working with steel and cement industries to conduct seismic testing on low-carbon concrete, exploring diverse possibilities for low-carbon transformation in construction.
