Occupational Safety Observations and Visits (President Huang’s Role as President of the National Construction Industry Occupational Safety and Health Promotion Association)

General Manager Huang Yi-fang serves as the President of the ‘National Construction Industry Occupational Safety and Health Promotion Association.’ Under the guidance of the ‘Occupational Safety and Health Administration of the Ministry of Labor,’ strategic alliances have been formed with the ‘Northern Region Construction Industry Occupational Safety and Health Promotion Association,’ ‘Central Region Construction Industry Occupational Safety and Health Promotion Association,’ ‘Southern Region Construction Industry Occupational Safety and Health Promotion Association,’ and the ‘Taipei City Construction Site Self-Management.’ Upholding the spirit of mutual assistance, cooperation, and mutual benefit, the association aims to enhance members’ safety and health capabilities through on-site observations, seminars, and information platforms. Mutual support and collective growth among members are key to disaster reduction in the construction industry. By fostering cohesion, these capacities can be extended to other business units.

In 2023, to urge business units to participate in disaster reduction in the construction industry and achieve maximum benefits, a disaster reduction theme was set. This theme was implemented through project observations, member meetings, training sessions, and promotional campaigns to achieve disaster reduction goals.

  • Held five general member meetings and combined them with ‘Visible Safety’ site observations, conducting four on-site training sessions. These sessions facilitated learning and mutual encouragement among regional promotion association leaders, progressing the disaster reduction campaign step by step.
  • Conducted training for disaster reduction movement seed personnel and compiled the ‘2023 Construction Industry Disaster Reduction Movement Seed Teacher Manual,’ collaborating with regional promotion organizations to achieve disaster reduction goals.
  • Organized a joint results presentation, inviting the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, regional labor inspection agencies, project owners, supervising units, construction units, and promotion organizations. A total of 124 members and guests from 45 units attended, sharing efforts and dedication in regional promotion association affairs and disaster reduction activities.
  • The ‘Visible Safety’ disaster reduction movement ran from April to December, with approximately 70 demonstration sites from members. Nearly 500 small safety tips were showcased in the demonstration sites, averaging more than five different tips per site. Over six months, an average of 17 disaster reduction meetings were held nationwide each month, reaching about 7,000 people.
  • The association has approximately 580 member companies nationwide.
