Kedge Advances Circular and Low-Carbon Construction

Kedge Construction, a member of the Construction Circularity and Low-Carbon Alliance, joined industry and government partners for the launch of the Circular and Low-Carbon Construction – Spatial Dialogue × Regeneration Hub on June 3 at the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering. Working alongside the Resource Circulation Administration, Ministry of Environment, and other construction industry partners, Kedge shared practical approaches to low-carbon materials, resource reuse, and circular design. The initiative provides a platform for cross-sector collaboration and explores how circular economy principles can be applied throughout the built environment.

Putting Circular Construction into Practice

Kedge continues to advance circular and low-carbon construction through several key initiatives:

  • Digital Transformation: Kedge uses Building Information Modeling (BIM) to establish equipment databases and operations and maintenance platforms, supporting more effective management throughout the building lifecycle.
  • Circular Economy Certification: Kedge became the first construction company in Taiwan to obtain BS 8001 circular economy certification. Its Sustainable Site Office also achieved Level 4, the highest level of certification for optimized business model innovation.
  • Low-Carbon and Circular Construction: By incorporating green building materials and sustainable construction methods into its projects, Kedge is developing practical approaches that can be replicated across future jobsites.

Through collaboration with government, research institutions, and industry partners, Kedge aims to turn circular economy principles into practical construction solutions and contribute to a more resource-efficient, low-carbon built environment.
