In 2024, Kedge Construction contributed NT$6 million to the Guande Yushan Education Foundation in support of its diverse reading initiatives, including the production of the television program Celebrity Bookroom, the publication of Living Journal, and the organization of book fairs and public lectures. Dedicated to its mission of “promoting reading and building education,” the foundation not only curates annual reading programs and public education events but also provides resources and facilities for disadvantaged students and social welfare groups in rural communities, fostering greater access to knowledge. In 2024, Living Journal released 2,500 copies, while Celebrity Bookroom produced 26 episodes plus a special feature, inviting authors to share and read selected works, garnering a total of 872,000 views on YouTube. The year’s initiatives also included a public book drive that collected 4,700 books, alongside a themed campaign, “Reading the World Through Sound,” which from August 1 to September 30 offered music salons, voice-based exhibitions, reading performances, charity book collections, and AR experiences, inviting the public to explore cross-disciplinary forms of reading. Every year, the foundation unites Kedge Construction, Guande Construction, and Global Mall’s eight nationwide locations to expand the impact of charitable book drives with book fairs, reading salons, and cultural sharing. Additionally, Kedge continues to sponsor educational projects such as Xiaocao Book House in Sanxia, Qingcao Learning Center, its Daxi branch, and Ganyuan Junior High School in New Taipei, underscoring the company’s enduring commitment to supporting rural education.
