As a member of the Taiwan Inorganic Resources Circular Economy Alliance, Kedge Construction hosted an industry workshop at its Sustainable Site Office, bringing together partners to exchange ideas and explore practical approaches to circular and low-carbon construction.
Participants visited Kedge’s sustainability demonstration space to learn how low-carbon construction methods and circular materials can be applied in practice. The workshop provided a platform for dialogue on how resource circularity can move beyond concepts and become part of everyday construction. Representatives from the Resource Circulation Administration, Ministry of Environment, also joined the event to share key developments in Taiwan’s resource circulation policies.Thediscussion highlighted how lifecycle management and green design can support waste reduction at the source and accelerate the transition toward a circular economy.
Connecting Circular Construction with Sustainable Living
The workshop extended the concept of circularity beyond construction materials. A local partner from Yilan introduced participants to organic, plant-based food and a hands-on sushi-making experience, creating a unique connection between inorganic resource circulation and sustainable food education.
The exchange demonstrated how circular thinking can connect different industries and aspects of everyday life. With evolving regulations, new business models, and stronger cross-sector collaboration, the Alliance aims to deepen cooperation among its members and expand practical applications of resource circulation. By opening its Sustainable Site Office as a space for industry dialogue, Kedge continues to share its experience in low-carbon construction and circular materials while working with government and industry partners to advance a more resource-efficient built environment.
